Reversed Roles for Players at Kids Camp

The Wildcats Youth Football Camp for players ages 12-14 was held July 29 to August 2, at Los Gatos High School. The high school players who participated were given insight to what it is like to be a coach. The players run these kids through individual drills covering football specific positions and running, tackling, and blocking. The coaches are there as well, but it is the players that get to intereact and mentor these young players.

“It’s a nice break from the summer practices and workouts for our players, and they really enjoy teaching these young players,” said Cat’s New Head Coach Mark Krail. You can see that the kids really relate to the players, and look forward to playing for the Cat’s some day. After a week of running youn players through drills, the Cat’s will have a week off before returnng to the school for their annual football camp that will have them living on campus as the final push to prepare for the 2013 campaign begins.
